Brothers Dedicated To Excellence didn't start with a business plan—it started with a conviction. A small circle of men who refused to accept the status quo came together with one shared belief: when men of purpose lock arms, communities transform.
That small circle has grown into a thriving brotherhood. Today, BDE hosts impactful events, mentors the next generation, champions charitable causes, and cultivates the kind of bonds that don't break under pressure.
Our members come from every walk of life, but we share one non-negotiable: a relentless commitment to excellence—in how we carry ourselves, how we serve, and how we show up for each other.
BDE actively provides a crucial and safe space for men to connect, exchange notes, and share information. Fellowships are dedicated to meaningful conversations, covering topics from business, economics, AI, personal/professional growth, relationships, and social issues. This 'No Filter Zone' encourages open dialogue and the free exchange of ideas, inviting members to uplift, challenge, and educate each other.
Tarnell Sands founded Brothers Dedicated to Excellence, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering men's mental health and creating meaningful spaces for connection. His academic background includes a Bachelor of Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics from Virginia State University, and a Master's in Telecommunications from George Mason University. As a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated, Tarnell's commitment to brotherhood is deep-rooted.
